The student-athletes on the Albion women’s basketball team continued to log community service hours Oct. 25 by spending a little more than an hour helping at Kids N’ Stuff in downtown Albion. While there the 15 student-athletes put the kids through an obstacle course featuring tunnels, a hula-hoop, a limbo stick and dots to jump on. There were other activities for the kids such as building with Legos and good ole fashion house.
“It was a lot of fun to see the kids having so much fun,” Mikaela Bromley, a junior guard from Nashville, Mich., and one of the women's basketball representatives to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, said.
The women's basketball team, under the direction of 14th-year head coach Doreen Carden, begins practice Oct. 15. The Britons, who play their first four games on the road, will make their home debut Nov. 25 against Dominican (Ill.) University.
