First-Year Catcher Lands Place On All-MIAA Baseball Team

Jordyn Finney, Albion College's first-year catcher from Oxford, Mich., was placed on the all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association second team.

Playing in all 28 league games, Finney's 27 runs batted in were fifth in the league. He hit .301 (31-of-103) with six doubles, a triple and two homeruns.

In statistics for all 39 games, Finney collected 40 RBI, tying him for third on Albion's single-season list and placing him third in the MIAA. He hit .322 (46-of-143) with nine doubles, two triples and two homeruns. He drew 13 walks to raise his on base percentage to .387.

Just as impressive as Finney's RBI total was how he threw out 16 runners trying to steal and finished with a .981 fielding percentage.
