Thirteen teams gathered for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association show hosted by Western Michigan University on Oct. 11. By the end of the day, three more Albion riders had qualified as individuals to compete in the regional show and the team won third place overall.
Most of the divisions were well represented by the Britons. Junior Melanie Fodera won first place in her walk/trot class, which also secured her place in the regional show. Co-captain Claire Tillman earned second place in novice fences and joins the list of riders to qualify for the regional show. Junior Jackson Regen also qualified for the regional show with a third place finish in intermediate flat.
Valuable points were earned by Cayla Dupuis' win in novice fences and third place in novice flat, Tillman's second place in intermediate flat, and Megan Reilly's second place in advanced walk/trot/canter. Other co-captain Taylor Macielak also captured a second place in open flat and a third in open fences.
