Makenna Ware was the reserve champion in advanced horsemanship Sunday as the Albion College equestrian western team won the regional championship.
The Briton riders advance to the semifinal show in Ohio in March. Ware will also ride as an individual in the semifinals based on her performance in the regional.
Other results included:
- Elliot Brinker will ride in the semifinals as an individual after a reserve champion finish in novice horsemanship
- Jordan Forney finished fourth in intermediate horsemanship
In hunt seat action, Albion finished a doubleheader show at the University of Michigan.
- Sydney Rudowski qualified for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association regional with a third-place showing in open fences
- Hannah DesRochers and Rachel Goldner were first in their sections of advanced walk-trot-canter
- Halley Guptil, Jessica Domaracki and Emily Rancour were first in their sections of novice flat
- Sadie Wyman and Bria Flanagan finished first and third, respectively, in open flat
- Celia Hilden took the blue ribbon in novice fences
- Avery Jester was second in novice flat
- Alex Bailey finished third in advanced walk-trot-canter
