ANGOLA, Ind. – Leading the way for Albion College today at Zollner Golf Course was sophomore Jake Hinkle with an impressive 75. The first of six Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamborees including a two-day fall finale, the Britons achieved a team best 305.

All six golfers broke 80 today making it an overall very well day for the Britons.

"There are lots of positives to take away from today for the Britons. We matched our season best team total from last year, and got strong performances from all six golfers who competed, including all of them shooting from 75-78," Head Coach Jordan McArleton said. "If we keep up that scoring, we'll be very competitive this year."

Connor Maddalena (76), Ryan Bomya (77), and Matt Falls (77) also contributed to the team score. The Britons finished sixth just 15 strokes behind Calvin who sat in the fourth position.

Justin Leeds playing as an individual also had a very good round today with a round of 75.

"And while it's always the case, our scores could have been even a bit better.  So we'll use this round as momentum for our next league match on Tuesday at Bedford Valley."
