AURORA, Ill. – Host Aurora University outscored Albion College, 10-2, over the final three quarters to earn a 14-5 victory over the Britons in a non-league men's lacrosse contest.
Albion still led 3-2 on Zach Hubbell's man-up goal late in the first quarter. Hubbell's second strike of the day cut the Albion deficit to 5-4 four minutes into the second quarter.
Alec Palmer scored a fourth quarter goal to finish Albion's scoring.
Aurora improved to 10-1 overall. The Spartans offense was balanced with Bailey Smith producing four goals, Joey Lucchesi with three, Trevor McNamara checking in with two goals and three assists and Matt Sammarco with two goals.
Albion completed the non-league portion with a 6-3 record. The Britons first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association contest is next Saturday at home against Kalamazoo College.
