Britons Achieve Milestones In MLAX Win

ALBION, Mich. - Nicolas Bowman, Grant Lemanski and Scott Shepard scored their first goals at the collegiate level Saturday as Albion College pulled away for a 19-3 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Kalamazoo College in men's lacrosse.

Brandon Lebioda, Bowman, Jacob Swift, Harrison Palmer and Paul Lewis scored as Albion built a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and the Britons never looked back.

Shepard scored his first goal early in the second quarter and he tacked on three more in the fourth. Bowman finished with two goals and three assists. Chase Palmer and Drew Harm chipped in with two goals apiece.

Goalkeepers Trevor McManus and Brandon Tata combined to collect six saves.

After the game, the Britons continued their partnership with the Vs. Cancer Foundation as some of the players and coaches had their heads shaved.
