Andrew Prince, a starting defender for the Albion College men's soccer team, has been voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic all-District team for the second consecutive year.
The senior from Ann Arbor will be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration in a vote of a select group from CoSIDA.
A biology major, Prince boasts a 3.97 cumulative grade point average. A member of Albion's Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program, Prince serves as president of Albion's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and as a member of the Student Senate. A Dean's List student, he is currently writing his senior thesis.
On the field, Prince produced the game-winning goal and an assist to lift Albion to a 3-0 victory over Olivet College in October. He also dished out an assist in the Sept. 3 non-league contest at Grinnell, Iowa, College.
Albion, 8-9 overall and 7-6 against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals, needs a victory its its regular season finale at Kalamazoo College on Saturday night to secure a berth in the conference tournament.
