HOLLAND, Mich. – Will Pearl accounted for Albion College's points at No. 3 doubles (with Andrew Zimmer) and No. 6 singles in Albion College's 7-2 loss to Hope College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's tennis action.
Pearl and Zimmer took down Jonathan Hoffman and William Yancey, 8-2, to prevent Hope from sweeping the doubles matches.
Pearl forged a 7-5 first set win over Grant Wunderlich in singles and he coasted, 6-0, in the second set. Pearl owns an 8-7 singles record and he is 4-0 at No. 6.
Ross Kynast tried to extend the No. 1 singles match to a third set. Cody Herbruck secured the point for Hope by scores of 6-2, 7-6 (4).
