Sophomores Achieve All-Region Status In Jumping Events

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Albion College sophomores Richard Annorat and Jephte Jean-Claude leaped their way on to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's list of all-Great Lakes region award winners for the 2017 outdoor track & field season.

The top five individuals in each events achieved all-region distinction.

Annorat, a Naples, Fla., and Lely High School product, tied for fourth in the region when he cleared the high jump at 6' 6 ¼" in a March 25 meet at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Jean-Claude, who prepped at Traverse City Central High School, finished fourth in the region in the triple jump. He achieved his place as an all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association performer by winning the league title in the event with a leap of 45' 10".
