Fitchburg State pitcher Kerry Alcott limited Albion to one hit – a Nicole Romain triple off the top of the fence in left field – as the Falcons earned a 10-0 victory over the Britons in five innings.
Marietta defeated Albion, 10-2, in six innings. Bucholz retired Marietta in order the first two innings, but the Pioneers rallied for four runs on six hits in the third.
Albion scored its runs in the fourth as Alex Yaw started the inning with a single and Bethann Hammond reached base on an error. After a sacrifice bunt, Sanford slapped a single down the left field line to drive in Yaw. Bucholz delivered a single to right-center to drive in Hammond.
Albion had other scoring chances as it stranded seven runners.
Albion will complete the Florida trip with Friday morning games against Washington (Md.) College and Waynesburg (Pa.) College.
