BYRON CENTER, Mich. – Megan Moco's 83 was good to place her into a tie for sixth on the individual leaderboard in the Railside D3 Classic.
Moco matched her career-best round she scored in the second round of the Kyle Campbell Invitational at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall last Saturday.
"It was an unusual day for her in that her short game was what led her to success," Albion Head Coach Jordan McArleton said. "Usually her long game and ball striking are her strengths, but we worked on chipping and putting in practice this week. She had about four fewer putts this round than she's been averaging on the year. If she can keep the improvement in the putting and have her usual ball striking days, then she's headed for a good season."
Albion will serve as the host of the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the season. It's scheduled for Monday at The Medalist.
