MARSHALL, Mich. – On another day, Megan Moco's round of 84 may have placed her in the top 10 on the leaderboard at The Medalist Golf Club.

With sunny skies and temperatures soaring into the mid 80s Monday, conditions allowed golfers to achieve low scores.

Hope's Nicole Meyer was one of the golfers to take advantage, producing a course record for a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree with an even-par 72. Moco finished in a tie for 13th.

Albion College finished the day with a 360 total, 14 strokes off the pace of fourth-place Alma College.

Another sophomore who contributed was Madison Bowen with an 87. Madison Kroetsch and Sadhna Ramanathan added scores of 93 and 96, respectively.

"We're a little disappointed not to be in fourth or fifth. We didn't get what we needed from a few of our golfers to compete there," Head Coach Jordan McArleton said. "They are capable of much more and I expect more. That being said, we are not far away from fourth place and we are going to work as hard as we can to chase them down to make the spring tournament."

The next MIAA Jamboree will take place Saturday at the Knollwood Country Club in South Bend, Ind.
