Koolwick Claims Albion's First MIAA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Award

The Albion College women's lacrosse program is celebrating its first-ever Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week selection as Kadie Koolwick was picked as the league's Offensive Player of the Week.

A first-year midfielder from Bloomfield, Koolwick scored six goals and assisted on another in the Britons' 23-12 loss to DePauw, Ind. She also scooped up three ground balls and caused a turnover.

Koolwick is Albion's second-leading scorer through five contests. She has produced 14 goals and an assist.

Albion will play its next three contests at home. The Britons have a Wednesday non-league date with Loras (Iowa) College, the April 4 MIAA opener against Olivet College, and a April 7 non-league date with the University of Mount Union on the schedule.
