ALBION, Mich. - Albion College's quest of advancing to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer Tournament was likely damaged by a 3-1 setback to Alma College at Alumni Field.
The loss drops the Britons to 5-5 against league rivals with six to play. Albion's stretch run includes road contests against Calvin College and Hope College, the top two teams on the league table. The good news is Albion still has contests against the four teams its chasing in the standings.
Macayla Greiner scored goals in each half and she assisted on the Scots' other goal.
Albion cut the deficit to 2-1 when Jenna Urso buried a penalty kick for her fifth goal of the season in the first minute of the second half. Greiner scored her second goal of the contest 2 ½ minutes later.
