Domenique Sarnecky, an Albion College forward from Canton, Mich., was recognized Tuesday as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer.
The Ladywood High School product scored a goal in all three matches as Albion completed the season with victories over Olivet College (3-1), league co-champion Kalamazoo College (2-1) and Adrian College (2-1).
Sarnecky finished her final season at the collegiate level as the team leader in goals (eight), assists (five) and points (21). She graduates with career totals of 33 goals, 16 assists and 82 points.
"Domenique got better every year, not just on the field, but also as a team leader," Head Coach Eric Scott said. "She did a good job of pulling the team together. We played well because of her."
Albion finished the season undefeated over its last eight contests with seven victories and one tie. The Britons completed the season with an overall record of 10-6-2.
