Seniors Lead Women's Soccer Past Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. – Albion College scored on half of its shots on goal to walk away with a 4-1 victory over Olivet College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer action Saturday afternoon.

Jenna Urso, Clare Kelley and Molly Hancock scored for Albion in the first half. It was Kelley's first goal at the collegiate level.

Samantha LaRocca tacked on her second goal of the season in the second half.

Olivet finished the match with a 14-10 edge in shots, but each team registered eight shots on goal. LaRocca was Albion's most active offensive threat with three shots on goal.

Albion goalkeeper Maggie Troost collected seven saves.

Next up for Albion (3-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 against MIAA rivals) is a Wednesday night home match against Kalamazoo College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Davis Athletic Complex.
