DELAWARE, Ohio – Angela Morrison produced 18 points in the two hurdles events to lead Albion College in the Marv Frye Invitational.
The senior from Westland, Mich., won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.57 seconds and she achieved a school record of 1:05.54 in finishing second in the 400 hurdles.
Peterson also tied for eighth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 10' 2".
Jessica Johnson, a first-year student-athlete from Eaton Rapids, Mich., finished third with a personal record of 37' ¼" in the shot put. She added an eighth place finish with a heave of 109' 3" in the discus throw.
Morrison and Peterson also led Albion to third place in the 4x100 relay.
Also scoring for Albion in the meet:
- Marissa Stegman was fourth in the javelin throw (96' 4")
- McKenna Donahue (fifth, 120') and Abby Voglewede (eighth, 110') placed in the hammer throw
- Kendra Cook was sixth in the steeplechase (13:28.49)
- Kinser was eighth in the 400 meters (1:02.68, a personal record)
Coach Lance Coleman noted Richelle Hawkins achieved a personal record, sprinting to a time of 13.22 in the 100 meters.
