WILMINGTON, Ohio – Albion College earned a pair of victories in volleyball Friday night as it carried the momentum from a five set victory over Marietta College into a four set victory over Wilmington College.

Taylor Rosenthal terminated three consecutive points as Albion built a 5-1 lead in the fifth set and never looked back. Albion surged at the end of the set as Lauren Outwater served up an ace and terminated two points and Mackenzie Moore and Stephanie Thurner teamed up for blocks on consecutive points.
Kelsey Gustafson hit. 278 with a career-high 13 kills in 36 attacks and she added seven digs. Outwater completed her fifth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 21 digs. Rosenthal contributed 11 kills and eight blocks.
Albion d. Wilmington 25-8, 25-14, 23-25, 25-9
Albion diversified the offense with 15 players recording a kill. Rosenthal hit .700 with eight kills and an error in 10 attacks. Thurner collected six kills, and Richelle Hawkins, Haven Hill, Moore, and Outwater all produced five kills.
Setter Ami Milligan served up six aces, dished out 35 assists and collected nine digs.
According to NCAA statistics, only 36 Division III players have served up more aces in a four set match than Milligan did against Wilmington. Milligan dished out 82 assists in the two matches, moving her Albion all-time record total to 2,494.
With 17 kills in the two matches, Outwater moved her career total to 801. She is third on Albion's all-time list.
Albion will travel to central Ohio for a Saturday morning match at Capital University.
