Volleyball Drops Saturday Matches

OLIVET, Mich. – Albion College lost a pair of volleyball matches in four sets Saturday.

Olivet d. Albion 19-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-19

Angela Adams served up three aces in the first set, and she added another early in the second, as Albion had Olivet out of system early.

Olivet libero Gabrielle Mundt settled her team down by collecting 15 digs. Morgan Champion hit .303 with 15 kills and 5 errors in 33 attacks and Madelyn Notenbaum hit .375 with 12 kills and 3 errors in 24 attacks for the Comets.

Taylor Rosenthal produced 12 kills and a block assist and Marie Pregenzer added 11 kills and 6 block assists for Albion.

Manchester (Ind.) d. Albion 25-18, 25-23, 13-25, 26-24

Kelsey Gustafson matched her career-high with 16 kills. She finished the match hitting .483 with 2 errors in 29 attacks. Pregenzer added 15 kills, 4 service aces and 2 block assists. Rosenthal finished with 13 kills.

Albion (3-4 overall) travels to Adrian College at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association contest.
