Albion had the lead in both games, but it was unable to shutdown Kalamazoo.
Game One: Kalamazoo 7, Albion 6 in 12 innings
Albion extended the lead to 5-2 in the sixth when Lindemann produced another RBI when he hit a ground ball to the pitcher and TJ Bowers singled to score Dennis.
Temrowski allowed the first three Kalamazoo batters to reach in the sixth before giving way to Wyman. Mitch Van Koevering put the Hornets in front with a two-run single.
Albion scored a run in the seventh to send the game to extra innings. Marowski and Wyman drew walks to start the inning. Kenny Frieswyk, who was inserted as a pinch-runner for Marowski, scored when Ronnie Williams III singled with one out. Albion had Wyman, the go-ahead run at third, but he was stranded when Dennis hit into an inning ending double play.
Albion advanced a runner to second with no outs in the eighth and had the bases loaded with two out in the 10th, but failed to score.
David Kracht scored the winning run for Kalamazoo. He reached on an error with one out and the next two batters singled to move him around the bases.
Game Two: Kalamazoo 8, Albion 3
Albion led 2-0 on Wyman's triple in the fourth. Kalamazoo responded with eight runs in its half of the inning. Marowski tacked on a RBI single in the fifth.
Albion has a non-league home date with Heidelberg University on Tuesday. The first pitch is set for 4 p.m. at Frank Joranko Field.
